Hotel Color has instructions on how to prepare varied and high-quality meals.
Cooking is an art that makes our lives tasty, sometimes sweet, sometimes savoury and now and then a little spicy. And that’s how it should be. Inspiration for the best dishes is all around us. That’s exactly what our chefs are trying to do. They create dishes with a taste of originality that you can feel after the first bite.
Why is quality and imaginative cooking so celebrated and mused about nowadays?
Our chefs say that if a person cannot open his eyes and perceive everything the world has to offer, he stands still and suppresses his creativity and natural ability to move forward. You may not believe it, but in cooking it really is like that. There are many restaurants that do not take their mission – that is, to bring people the pleasure of food – seriously. If they even ‘spoil’ it with poor quality ingredients, the food literally becomes just a disgusting dish, behind which we would probably be hard pressed to find something deeper. At Hotel Color, we try to avoid exactly this with a huge arc.
This is why our restaurant is popular!
Because our cuisine is built on quality ingredients. And we don’t just say that to the wind, it’s really true! We already base our menu on seasonal ingredients to not only cater to current tastes, which are also influenced by the seasons, but also to ensure freshness. All you have to do is play around with flavours, combinations and colours. Add to that the fact that most of the ingredients are from Slovak suppliers and you have a perfect match. This is exactly what our chefs put together to create a new special menu for our guests every week.
Creative dishes not only in the restaurant, but also at home.
Banish the stereotype from your kitchen and put on a new chef’s apron. That’s the advice of those in the know. Explore new ingredients you haven’t used before, like chickpeas or couscous, or finally try your hand at making that creme brulee, even if it might not come out 100% the first time. Get inspiration from the internet, cooking blogs, restaurants, colleagues or friends, or just the colours of nature. There’s so much to work with. Right now it’s pea season, we’re already imagining that beautiful green colour of the most delicious pea puree. What you would add to it is up to your imagination.
